We’re Hiring Future Citizen Pilates Instructors
At Citizen Pilates, we’ve spent the last decade proving that discipline and care can exist in the same room.
Structure doesn’t limit great instructors here. It sharpens them. We’re not just looking for certified Pilates instructors.
We’re looking for people who can walk into a room, take responsibility for it, and lead.
People who take feedback without defensiveness and get better because of it.
People who don’t need chaos to feel creative.
People who understand that consistency is what builds trust with clients over time.
You might be a teacher, a coach, a manager, or someone who’s been carrying more than your title reflects.
What matters is how you show up, how you think, and how you work.
This is a structured environment.
It’s a team.
It’s a standard.
This is not for everyone. That’s the point.
You don’t need a Pilates background to belong here.
You do need to be the kind of person who takes ownership, respects structure, and knows how to lead people through an experience, not just deliver one. Some of our best instructors didn’t start in fitness.
They started in classrooms, on busy floors, behind counters, and in roles where they were already responsible for people, outcomes, and consistency.
What we provide is the system.
Three Houston studios.
A defined class structure.
A full training curriculum.
Leadership that will coach you directly and expect you to improve.
What you bring is how you work.
If you’re looking for a casual side gig, this isn’t it.
If you’re looking for a real role, with real expectations, and real upside, keep going.
We don’t wing classes here. We run them.
Every session starts on time, is fully prepared, and is delivered with control. Clients know what they’re getting. That’s why they come back.
This is a three-step process.
Apply with your resume and optional cover letter.
Complete a short interview screen.
Then, for those who move forward, a live conversation with Jess.
We review how you think, how you communicate, and how you respond under pressure.
This is a professional role, not a casual side gig.
Full-time instructors are salaried.
You’re a W-2 employee with real benefits, including health coverage and a 401(k).
If you’ve never taken a class at Citizen, get into the room before you apply.
If expectations motivate you and structure makes you better, you’ll feel it here.
This process is selective by design.
THE ROLE, CLEARLY DEFINED
If you’ve made it this far, you’re probably taking this seriously.
Here’s exactly what the role requires, how it works, and what you can expect day to day.
ROLE OVERVIEW
This is a full-time career position, not a supplemental teaching role.
Citizen Pilates operates a structured, high-accountability environment across three Houston studios. You’ll step into an established schedule, teach 20–25 classes per week, and work inside a system where expectations are clear and standards are consistent.
You will be coached directly and developed over time. This is a role where performance improves with intention, not guesswork.
